Florida Chamber Health Council Launching Statewide, Business-Led Mental Health Initiative
Florida Chamber Members and Friends of Free Enterprise,
As you already know, the Florida Chamber, through the Leadership Cabinet on Safety, Health + Sustainability, is working to make Florida the safest, healthiest and most sustainable state in America. As part of this essential work and to help advance healthier outcomes in Florida, we are uniting and aligning businesses, government, and nonprofits to solve Florida’s mental health crisis by launching a statewide, business-led mental health initiative.
To lead this effort for Florida, Dr. Robert “Navy Bob” Roncska has joined our team as Senior Vice President of the Florida Chamber Health Council. Dr. Roncska previously served as Corporate Executive Director for High Reliability and Unit Culture at AdventHealth and for the last two years, has served on the Florida Chamber Leadership Cabinet Advisory Board.
Bob served for 28-years with distinguished service in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Navy Captain in 2018. He served as the Pacific Fleet’s top fast attack Submarine Commodore and the USS TEXAS’s Commanding Officer (SSN 775). He was warmly dubbed by U.S. President George W. Bush as “Navy Bob” and was the Naval Aide to the President of the United States. Read Bob’s full bio, here.
Bob’s personal experience around mental health challenges experienced by his mother and father combined with his engagement with corporate, military, and political leaders, make him the perfect leader to help launch and advance outcomes for America’s leading, business-led, mental health and wellness initiative.
You can meet Navy Bob at our 2023 Leadership Conference on Safety, Health + Sustainability on May 11 and 12th in Orlando where he will be speaking on culture and leadership. If you haven’t already registered, you can still register your HR, saftey, health and sustainability managers here.
