The Business of Healthcare and the Talent Delimma

On Friday, January 26, Dr. Bob Ronscka moderated a panel at Florida State University’s Business of Healthcare Summit. This inaugural event leveraged the university’s extensive network of alumni and industry partners to discuss the most pressing issues facing the healthcare sector today.

Dr. Navy Bob spearheaded great conversation from Dr. Andera Friall, Chief Medical Officer, Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare; Kevin Little, Chief Executive Officer Health Advocates Network; and Amy Ruth, Senior Vice President, Human Services Group and Chief Human Resource Officer at Florida Blue. Topics ranged from attracting top-talent to the medical field to retention strategies for nurses, doctors and other medical professionals.

In May, the Florida Chamber Health Council will release a new report on the state of mental health in Florida at the 2024 Leadership Conference on Safety, Health + Sustainability. A portion of this report will feature strategies to address the shortage of mental health professionals in the Sunshine State.
